Growers for generations, the Spinelli family became winemakers in the early 1970s. At first the family’s patriarch, Vincenzo Spinelli, only sold the wines in bulk, but he harbored dreams of improving his product. Twenty years later, his dreams were realized with the purchase of more land and the improvement of his production equipment, as well as an ever increasing knowledge of vines and grapes. Today, the Spinelli winery stretched across 40 hectares of the Sangro Valley’s fertile landscape.
